The State of Florida recently enacted new legislation prohibiting the use of any additive that does not meet the statutory definition of a “Water Quality Additive”, including Fluorides, in public water systems, throughout the state. All publicly owned and operated water treatment plants are required to comply with this change to the Florida Statutes, as outlined in Chapter 403.852 and 403.859, effective July 1st, 2025.
