Florida law and the Miami-Dade County Code also provide protections against retaliation for employees and independent contractors under certain circumstances. Anyone who believes reporting misconduct could put them at risk of retaliation is encouraged to inform the OIG of their concerns so appropriate safeguards can be considered.

A 24-hour confidential hotline is available at 305-579-2593, and reports may also be sent by fax to 305-579-2656. Additionally, individuals can file a report online through the official fraud reporting portal.
