The City of Homestead has successfully completed its annual recertification for the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Community Rating System (CRS). As part of this process, the City has submitted all necessary documentation and has released the annual progress report on its Local Mitigation Strategy (LMS) to the public. The report is available for review on the City’s website at www.homesteadfl.gov/CRS. The CRS is a voluntary program that incentivizes municipalities to implement floodplain management practices exceeding NFIP requirements.
